Marvell Studies 11.1 contains articles by Gina Filo, on the link between racial anxiety and defense of the natural environment in “The Mower Against Gardens”; by Julianne Werlin, on the anniversary poem genre, Donne’s Anniversaries, and “The First Anniversary”; and by Martin Dzelainis on the Thomas Blood epigrams and their allusions to Juvenal.  The issue also includes a review of Michelle Dowd and Lara Dodd’s Early Modern Women’s Writing and the Future of Literary History (by Chloe Brooke).

Early in 2027, the journal will feature a special issue on Nicholas von Maltzahn’s work, co-edited by Feisal Mohamed and Phillip Donnelly. Contributors will include Nigel Smith, Elizabeth Sauer, Martin Dzelzainis, Kate Bennett, and Jeff Miller
